Cinque Terre Train Card & Trekking Card

The train cards allow you to travel from village to village as often you wish and to enter the park. The Trekking Cards allow you to enter the park. The most convenient way to explore the Cinque Terre ist by train. There are different train ticket options to choose. You can buy single train tickets to get from village to village. In terms of cost, this option may be the most expensive depends how many villages you want to visit. The single tickets, depends on the season, can cost from Euro 2.50 till Euro 10.00, one way, one village! There is the day ticket, the Cinque Terre Train Card, with which you can travel back and forth between the Cinque Terre all day. With this card you can also hike the two paid hiking trails. Corniglia / Vernazza and Vernazza / Monterosso to Vernazza and Vernazza to Corniglia. If you just want to hike without using the train then the Trekking Card is the right choice for you. The Card offers the following services:

Unlimited second class travel with the regional and regional fast trains in the route La Spezia - Cinque Terre -Levanto - and vice versa

Access to the Park area, includes the paid hikes from Monterosso to Vernazza and from Vernazza to Corniglia plus the love trail Via dell'Amore

Note: The Cinque Terre Train MS Card can be purchased at every train station at the Tourist Information Points in the Cinque Terre in Levanto and in La Spezia or online  " card.parconazionale5terre.it"

How to use the Card:
The Card bears the user's full name and may not be used by others. Before using a card, the user's name, and surname (or the head of the family's name in case of family cards) must be written on the back. Cards must be shown to inspectors together with a valid identity document.

Adults: 12 - 69 years old / Junior: 4 - 11 years old / Family: 2 Adults + 2 children 4 - 11 years old / Senior: Over 70

Note: Children under the age of four, travel on trains and access the Park services free of charge if accompanied by an adult who holds the Card.

Dogs on the train: Dogs, cats and other small pets can travel for free in a carrier with a maximum size of 70x30x50 cm, maximum one for each passenger.
Even larger dogs can accompany you on your journey! Each passenger can travel with a dog of any size, with the relevant ticket for the desired route, as long as it is kept on a leash and equipped with a muzzle.
On Frecce and Intercity you can buy a ticket for your dog for just 5 euros to travel from Sunday to Friday and, for just 1 euro, to travel on Saturdays. On regional trains for dog transport you can purchase the relevant ticket, equal to a second class ticket at the fare foreseen for the route taken, reduced by 50%.
Important: Don't forget to bring with you the canine registry registration certificate and your dog's health booklet, which are mandatory for travel.

Bicycles on the train: On all regional trains in Liguria, even on those not marked with the special symbol, passengers are permitted to travel with a bicycle free of charge.
